A Graph Method for Interpretation of Magnetic Anomalies over 2D dikes and vertical faults

چکیده
Simple geometric assumptions for dikes and faults are often used interpreting the parameters of these structures from magnetic anomalies. The anomaly a 2D dike or vertical fault consists two components; one with even other odd symmetries. function resulting ratio components is independent amplitude coefficient. abscissa half-maximum component maximum related to its depth half-width. Incorporating this relation into corresponding equations faults, half-width value can be eliminated equations. Thus, determining model parameters. Using given distances, curves obtained different depth-index parameter pairs, graph curves, determined. Validity method tested using synthetic models cases. also implemented on field data, recovered compared results previous studies.
